Kitchen Cabinets in St. Cloud, FL
Designed in 3D, permitted with the right Osceola County or city office, and built by a licensed Florida general contractor that also holds its own plumbing license.

Kitchen cabinets projects in St. Cloud
Many St. Cloud homes built in the 1990s and 2000s still have their original builder cabinets: oak or thermofoil doors, particleboard boxes and drawers that no longer slide well. Replacing them is one of the biggest visible changes you can make to the kitchen. We specialize in European-style frameless cabinets, which give wider drawer and shelf space than face-frame boxes, and custom cabinetry built to fit older homes where walls are rarely square.
What changes for a kitchen cabinets in St. Cloud
In older downtown St. Cloud houses, cabinet installation often starts with leveling floors and furring out walls that have settled or been patched, so the new boxes sit straight and doors line up. In newer homes off Narcoossee Road, the focus is usually adding storage: tall pantry units, deep drawers instead of base shelves, and cabinets to the ceiling. You choose doors and finishes in our showroom, and we confirm every item matches the order before installation.
Local details we plan around
- Older downtown and lakefront homes may sit on raised floors or have years of patched plumbing, which changes how we run new drain and supply lines.
- Lakefront homes on East Lake Toho face more wind and moisture exposure, so window and door products and exterior sealing matter more.
- Harmony and parts of the Narcoossee corridor are unincorporated Osceola County, not the city, so the permit goes to a different office.
- Master-planned communities usually require architectural approval for exterior work, which adds a step before permitting.

Scope
What the work includes
In-home measurement
We measure walls, windows, soffits, ceiling height and the exact location of plumbing, vents and outlets, so the cabinet plan fits the room as built, not as drawn on the original house plans.
3D cabinet design
A 3D rendering shows every cabinet, drawer stack, pantry and filler. You can change door styles, colors and the island before anything is ordered.
Frameless and framed cabinetry
European frameless cabinets are our specialty. We also build framed and inset styles when the house, the look or matching an adjoining room calls for them.
Custom sizes and built-ins
Custom cabinetry fills odd walls, tall ceilings and corners without wide filler strips. The same approach works for pantry walls, coffee bars, desks and laundry rooms.
Storage hardware
Soft-close hinges and full-extension drawer slides, deep pot drawers, pull-out trash, corner solutions, spice pull-outs, tray dividers and lighting inside glass cabinets.
Removal and installation
We remove the old cabinets, repair the walls behind them, then set, level and fasten the new boxes, scribe panels to uneven walls and adjust every door and drawer.

"It is a pleasure to recommend Prime Construction / Kitchens for any of your home remodeling needs. Prime Construction helped me diagnose a problem with a wall in my garage related to a window leak. Prime Construction shared with me how I could address the issue myself and saved me the cost of a dispatch by their team. They were only concerned with helping me resolve my issue. I give my full recommendation to Prime Construction. Thank you"

FAQ
Kitchen Cabinets in St. Cloud: questions
Do not see your question? Call us or send the estimate form and we will answer it on the phone.
Are frameless cabinets a good fit for an older St. Cloud kitchen?
Usually, yes. Frameless cabinets give more interior space, which helps in older kitchens with limited wall length. Because older walls and floors are often out of level, we measure carefully, shim and scribe during installation, and use filler panels where needed. Custom cabinetry is another option when the room has unusual dimensions.
Is Harmony in the City of St. Cloud for permits?
No. Harmony has a St. Cloud mailing address but is in unincorporated Osceola County, so building permits go to the Osceola County Building Office rather than the City of St. Cloud. The community also has its own association design standards for exterior changes. We handle both the association submittal and the county permit.
Can you remodel an older home near downtown St. Cloud?
Yes. Older homes near New York Avenue and the lakefront often have past additions, mixed plumbing materials and sometimes raised floors. During the in-home visit we look at what is accessible, explain what may need replacing once walls or floors are open, and write the estimate so you can see which items depend on what we find.
How much should I expect to pay for kitchen cabinets?
Cabinet cost depends on how many linear feet you need, the box material, frameless or framed construction, stock or custom sizing, the door style and finish, and storage hardware. Installation depends on the condition of your walls and floors and any plumbing or electrical changes. We measure at home and give a written estimate. Our kitchen remodel cost guide gives broader context for full remodels.
What is the 1/3 rule for cabinets?
Most often it refers to hardware: a pull should be about one-third the width of the drawer or door. A 30-inch drawer suits a pull of about 10 inches. Treat it as a guide; wide drawers and tall doors often use longer pulls, and many kitchens standardize on one or two sizes. We show the hardware in your 3D design before you order.
Are frameless cabinets better than framed cabinets?
Neither is better for every kitchen. Frameless European cabinets give wider drawers, more interior space and a clean modern look, and their hardware adjusts precisely. Framed cabinets suit traditional and inset styles and are forgiving in older homes with uneven walls. We specialize in frameless and can show both in our showroom so you can compare them in person.
