Bathroom Remodeling in St. Cloud, FL
Designed in 3D, permitted with the right Osceola County or city office, and built by a licensed Florida general contractor that also holds its own plumbing license.

Bathroom remodel projects in St. Cloud
Bathroom remodeling is the single most searched remodeling service in St. Cloud, and most of the requests we see are practical: a hall bath with a fiberglass tub surround that has started to crack, a primary bath with a garden tub and a tiny shower stall, or a bathroom in an older downtown home that never had proper ventilation. Converting a tub to a walk-in shower with a low or no threshold is one of the most common projects, especially for owners planning to stay long term.
What changes for a bathroom remodel in St. Cloud
In older St. Cloud homes we often find past bathroom additions with undersized drains or no exhaust fan, which we correct as part of the remodel. Every shower we build gets a bonded waterproofing membrane under the tile, important in a climate where bathrooms rarely dry out fully. Since we are a Certified Plumbing Contractor, the plumbing is done under our own license, and we pull the permit with the City of St. Cloud or with Osceola County for addresses outside city limits.
Local details we plan around
- Older downtown and lakefront homes may sit on raised floors or have years of patched plumbing, which changes how we run new drain and supply lines.
- Lakefront homes on East Lake Toho face more wind and moisture exposure, so window and door products and exterior sealing matter more.
- Harmony and parts of the Narcoossee corridor are unincorporated Osceola County, not the city, so the permit goes to a different office.
- Master-planned communities usually require architectural approval for exterior work, which adds a step before permitting.

Scope
What the work includes
In-home measure and design
We measure the room, check where the drain, supply lines, fan and electrical run today, and ask how the bathroom is used every morning before we draw anything.
3D design rendering
Your measurements become a 3D model of the new bathroom, so you can see the shower size, vanity, tile layout and niche placement before material is ordered.
Demolition and protection
We protect the path through your home, contain dust at the doorway, remove the old tub, tile and fixtures, and check the framing and slab underneath for water damage.
Plumbing under our own license
Drain relocations, new shower valves, rain heads, body sprays, double vanity rough-ins and toilet moves are handled under our Certified Plumbing Contractor license, not handed off to a stranger.
Waterproofing and tile
Showers get a bonded waterproofing membrane or a properly sloped pan liner, flood tested before tile. Then porcelain or ceramic tile on walls and floors, set flat with clean grout lines.
Vanities, tops and mirrors
Floating or freestanding vanities, including the European-style vanities and LED mirrors on display in our showroom, with quartz or porcelain tops and sinks sized to the room.

FAQ
Bathroom Remodeling in St. Cloud: questions
Do not see your question? Call us or send the estimate form and we will answer it on the phone.
Can you convert a tub to a walk-in shower in a St. Cloud home?
Yes, and it is one of our most common bathroom projects. On a slab, we cut the concrete to reposition the drain, install a properly sloped pan with a waterproofing membrane, and tile the walls and floor. A low or curbless entry is often possible. The change involves plumbing, so it is permitted with the city or Osceola County.
Is Harmony in the City of St. Cloud for permits?
No. Harmony has a St. Cloud mailing address but is in unincorporated Osceola County, so building permits go to the Osceola County Building Office rather than the City of St. Cloud. The community also has its own association design standards for exterior changes. We handle both the association submittal and the county permit.
Can you remodel an older home near downtown St. Cloud?
Yes. Older homes near New York Avenue and the lakefront often have past additions, mixed plumbing materials and sometimes raised floors. During the in-home visit we look at what is accessible, explain what may need replacing once walls or floors are open, and write the estimate so you can see which items depend on what we find.
What's the most expensive part of a bathroom renovation?
The shower is usually the most expensive part, because it combines demolition, waterproofing, tile labor, the valve and often custom glass. Moving plumbing comes next: relocating a toilet, shower drain or sink on a slab means cutting and patching concrete. Vanities, tile choice and the amount of tile on the walls also move the number. For typical ranges, see our bathroom remodel cost guide.
How much does a bathroom remodel cost in Orlando?
It depends on the room and the scope more than the square footage. A powder room refresh, a guest bath that keeps its layout and a primary bath that moves drains and adds a large shower are different projects. The main drivers are plumbing moves, shower size and glass, tile type and coverage, the vanity and permits. We give a written estimate after measuring at your home, and our bathroom cost guide explains typical ranges.
How long does a bathroom remodel take?
Most bathroom remodels take about 2 to 5 weeks on site once materials are in. A guest bath that keeps its layout is at the shorter end. A primary bath with slab plumbing moves, a large tiled shower and custom glass takes longer, because glass is measured only after the tile is finished. Design, selections, ordering and permits usually add a few weeks before demolition starts.
